One floor of this High-rise building needed to be strengthened to accept an increased load. The new loads placed portions of the slab in negative moment. There was very limited access to the floor below, due to occupancy. A new tenant was scheduled to move in and Edge Structural Composites VelaCarb 335U was selected to strengthen the slab in order to prevent delays in the construction. The project was completed in less that two weeks and saved the owner over $100.000.00. The carbon sheets were thin enough to allow the finished floor to be tiled with no additional preparation.
